Chairman
Canaan Dube is the current Independent Chairperson for the NEC Engineering Iron and Steel industry. He is the senior and founding partner at Dube, Manikai and Hwacha Legal Practitioners with vast and extensive experience in public law, criminal procedure and civil procedure. Canaan was until December 2016 Council Chairman of the Midlands State University and is the current Chairman of Hippo Valley Estates and immediate past Chairman of Delta Beverages. He is also the current Chair of the Zimbabwe Listed Entities Forum and sits as a director of several companies listed on the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange, including Edgars Stores Ltd and Bata Zimbabwe. He is an accomplished author whose works include Corporate Governance Non-Executive Directors Independence - Fact or Fiction (2008) and the National Code on Corporate Governance in Zimbabwe (2014).

Deputy Chairperson
Dr Miriam Mugwati is a seasoned marketing expert and academic with over 15 years of experience in developing and implementing innovative marketing strategies that drive business growth and success. Her expertise spans across various industries. Her research interests lie in marketing culture, consumer behaviour, and marketing strategy. She has a proven track record of leading high-performing teams, developing effective marketing strategies, and fostering strategic partnerships. Her expertise includes strategic planning, market research and analysis, brand management, consumer behaviour and entrepreneurship development.
Qualifications: PhD Marketing, MCom Marketing Strategy, BCom Marketing Management, Diploma in Education, Certificate in CREST Supervisors of Doctoral Candidates (Stellenbosch)

Mr. Matthias Ruziwa pioneers business and human resources strategies that enhance productivity and economic growth while creating employee-friendly, safe, and productive work environments. He is the Secretary General for the Engineering Iron and Steel Association of Zimbabwe since 2017. He has held various portfolios including President of the Confederation for Zimbabwe Industries, National Executive Council member of CZI, Research and Development Committee member of CZI, General Council member for the Standards Association of Zimbabwe, and Executive Committee Member for NEC Engineering Iron and Steel Industry.

Mr. Bekezela Mangena has over 25 years experience in human resources management as a Training and Human Resources Practitioner. He is the Group Human Resources Manager for Treggers Group since 2010 and the current Principal Officer for the Treggers Group pension fund. He is the Past President of the Engineering, Iron and Steel Association of Zimbabwe and the Chairperson of the National Employment Council for the Textile Industry since January 2021. He served as Chairperson for the National Employment Council for Engineering Iron and Steel Industry from 2018 to September 2021.

Mrs. Chiedza Chigombe is the Managing Director of Kubota Engineering (Pvt) Ltd, with more than a decade of experience in successful operations and business management. She regularly speaks at national conferences and is the current first woman president of the Engineering Iron and Steel Industry of Zimbabwe (EISAZ), and holds other board positions in the industry. An award-winning business leader, Chiedza is a strong believer in the power of positive thinking in the workplace and is proud to have contributed to improved efficiency and satisfaction company-wide.

Mr. Stanford Magadu is a seasoned and experienced Trade Unionist. He has over 19 years work experience in the Industrial Relations field with exposure and experience in the Engineering industry. He is a Board member for the Engineering Medical Aid Society and National Employment Council for the Engineering Iron and Steel Industry.

Mr. J. Chigwedere is an accomplished Human Resources practitioner with over 30 years of experience across diverse industries. Currently serving as HR Director of Pick n Pay Zimbabwe, he brings a wealth of expertise in strategic HR management, organisational development, and leadership. A respected figure in his field, he is a member of the Institute of People Management Zimbabwe (IPMZ) and also works as a management consultant, trainer, and facilitator, contributing to the development of HR practices in Zimbabwe.
Qualifications: MBA, Post Graduate Diploma in Law, and various specialised HR qualifications

Mr. Shepherd Mashingaidze is the General Secretary of the National Engineering Workers' Union, formed in 1984 under the Labour Act (Chapter 28:01). He rose through the ranks from Regional Officer to National Organising Secretary, Acting Deputy General Secretary, and was ultimately appointed Substantive General Secretary. He serves as the Executive Secretary to the Administration and Finance Committee for the NEWU National Executive Committee and National Council Committee.
Qualifications: Paralegal Labour Law Certificate (Labour Law Issues, Conciliations, and Case Studies)

Mrs. Ruth Chinyere is the General Secretary of the Zimbabwe Engineering Metal Trade and Allied Workers Union (ZEMTAWU). She has over 20 years of experience in executive support, administration, and corporate office management, and is fluent in four languages including Venda.
Qualifications: Secretarial Course Certificate
