Who We Are
EMF Medical Aid Society is one of Zimbabwe's longest-standing medical aid providers, established in 1948. For over 77 years, we have provided reliable, affordable healthcare solutions designed to meet the needs of individuals, families, and businesses across Zimbabwe. EMF is registered as a Medical Aid Society with the Ministry of Health and Child Care in compliance with the Medical Services Act [Chapter 15:13].
Our History
EMF was formed in 1948 as a result of a collective bargaining agreement between representatives from both parties — the employees and employers' union — in the Engineering industry, with packages tailormade to meet the needs of skilled workers in the Engineering Sector only. Over the years, the company became a success story as a result of its high customer service standards. This success led to the opening up of the Society to people from all walks of life. To date, the Society now has membership dotted in all the major cities countrywide.
